Crescendo® is a credit card-sized, multi-technology smart card that enables strong authentication and physical access control; providing out-of-the-box, standards-compliant support for hundreds of logical access applications while also serving as an employee ID badge.

The Crescendo C800 smart card is a high-quality solution for Identity Assurance providing a versatile, multi-application platform designed to meet corporate and/or government deployment requirements for both logical and physical access. A cost-effective solution for network and computer access, the C800 cardholder no longer has to carry multiple credentials nor are they required to remember multiple passwords or PINs. By using the C800, the cardholder has access to both logical and physical resources.

The Crescendo C800 leverages the open and portable HID Global ActivIdentity® Applet Framework for Javacard-based devices. This framework delivers standard-based services for fortress-like password protection, digital identity credentials, cryptographic functions, personal information and network access while Applets are built on open-standards, meet stringent government requirements and have broad third-party support.

The Crescendo C800 is designed for the HID Global ActivIdentity ActivID™ Card Management System (CMS) Appliance.
