About the Role…

The Operative System Team is looking for a talented Software Engineer that will contribute to design and test our HID Global smart card Operative system products to manage eGov, ePassport, eID, Digital Signature, Digital Identify.

What you will do…

  • Work on full life-cycle software development of applications used for design and testing of smart card OS
  • Work in a collaborative team using Agile methodology
  • Design and deliver full-stack software applications in Java, C# , ANSI C and C++
  • Interface API driving hardware encoders (ex RFID programmers, communication devices, smart card readers
  • Keep tight deadlines for software enhancements match product development schedules

Who we’re looking for….

  • Degree in Computer science or Computer Engineering
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Knowledge of C, C++
  • Knowledge of Software Engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of embedded development workbenches
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of Bug Tracking tools (Mantis or track for example)
  • Knowledge of project documentation management
  • Knowledge of product-driven software development using a modern, object-oriented language (e.g. C#, Java, Python, etc)
  • Must be willing to spend a percentage of time travelling internationally
