This position will support the planning, design, implementation, communication, maintenance, and administration of all benefit programs and ensure alignment with HID’s goals, objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. The Benefit Analyst will perform data analytics to understand benefit utilization and cost patterns and be able to provide recommendations for benefit changes or enhancements. This role will report to the HR Benefit Manager and regularly interact with other team members, internal business partners, and employees to provide subject matter expertise and respond to escalated benefit matters.

What you will be doing

  • Support all aspects of global benefits administration (health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, education programs, recognition plans and more)
  • Provide customer service, research and resolution with employee inquiries, carrier/file auditing, HRIS and Benefits systems maintenance/data entry of new enrollments and benefit changes.
  • Support annual renewal process, including the planning and development of timelines, on-going communication, system updates, coordination with brokers and vendors, and reporting.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to support the development and implementation of ongoing benefit programs, changes, communications, and policies and procedures.
  • Conducts budget/cost analysis and ensures benefits are aligned with workforce needs.
  • Audits and ensures compliance with all government regulations as well as timeliness and accuracy of required filings, submissions, disclosures, or other regulatory requirements with respect to benefits programs.
  • Assist in developing communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package
  • Creates, maintains, and updates benefit administration procedures and processes.
  • Manages and administers leave of absence programs and provides cross-functional team support for employee health & safety, ADA and return to work programs
  • Plans and executes wellness events including flu clinics
  • Participate and lead projects supporting the global benefits strategy and roadmap
  • Provide ongoing support as required to the Benefits Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

  • The ability to present information clearly and in a manner that is understandable to managers and employees and to answer questions.
  • Must be comfortable speaking with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data and confidentiality

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 plus years of experience working in benefits administration
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations with regard to the processing of health and retirement benefits.
  • Experience in leave of absence, time-off, and workers’ compensation programs.
  • In-depth understanding of state and local laws governing benefit programs such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance.
  • Global benefit experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with ADP preferred
