The Facilities Coordinator performs simple and mostly directed support work, requiring some exercise of independent judgment and initiative, the application of some technical skills, and a general knowledge of the activities and procedures specific to operation and support of HID Global facilities in the Austin office.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Performs various clerical duties, maintains simple documents, corresponds via email to internal and external customers, works closely with HID concierge supporting staff, and provides other support functions as required.
  • Provides some organizational and administrative support to the Facility Management staff. 
  • Performs general office functions, such as filing, addressing envelopes, faxing documents, sorting mail, etc.
  • Assists with maintaining employee, visitor and temporary ID cards.  Provides assistance and back up as needed for Front Desk operations.  Helps other departments on projects when needed.
  • Assists visitors and staff in support of planned and unplanned event organization as well as set up vendors and arrange deliveries as needed.
  • Organizes and executes special events planning as well as employee events.
  • Ensures that the office administrative and facilities support functions are effectively carried out, assists with daily needs in support of coffee service, food & beverage vending, meeting and event support.     

Education and/or Experience             

  •  Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills                   

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language, verbally and in writing. Bilingual a plus

Computer Skills     

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and move large packages with assistance of carts when necessary
