We are looking for a HR Advisor with excellent people skills, computer knowledge, problem solving, organizational abilities, task orientated, knowledge of HR laws and procedures.

As a member of the HR Team, you will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources within a business unit, including but not limited to benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and recruiting.  The HR Advisor is responsible for performing HR-related activities and works closely with the HR team, Centers of Excellence (COE) and client groups.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities*:

  • Administer and communicate HR-related company programs, policies and procedures to all staff and respond to employee and manager inquiries
  • Manage recruitment efforts for the business unit, including active recruiting, interns, and experienced hires
  • Work with temporary agencies and serve as key point of contact for all temp hires
  • Handle basic matters relating to employee discipline and employee relations counseling.
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Conduct HR-related training including New Hire Orientation
  • Facilitate employee recognition programs including employee service awards and business unit staff awards programs
  • Collaborate with HRIS Manager and other HR team members to ensure accurate processing of people data.
  • Communicate benefit information to employees. Coordinate FMLA, STD, LTD and other leave programs information with guidance from Benefits team
  • Interpret HR policies and procedures with guidance from senior HR team
  • Serve as consultant and advisor to the assigned group in the effective management of their teams by delivering exceptional service and influence.
  • Continually monitor HR compliance requirements in the business and ensure that risk to HID is properly mitigated. 
  • Offer guidance and advice on operational HR activities in accordance with the local and regional policies and procedures. 
  • Manages special projects and other duties as required.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, work independently and exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Must have knowledge of database software; human resource systems; Internet software; payroll systems; Microsoft Office suite and use of common office and computer equipment
  • Ffamiliarity with ADP Workforce Now HRIS system is a plus
  • Must be able to work as part of a team

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three to five years related HR experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHR preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard, regularly travels both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances, and occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.

Work Requirements

  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport.
