As we continue to evolve our continuous improvement culture within a Lean Agile framework, we are seeking the assistance of a dynamic, organized, self-starter with a passion for efficiency and simplicity. The Process Excellence Specialist will be an integral piece of the Process Excellence team and will report directly to the Process Excellence Manager. This position will work closely with area leaders and their teams applying Lean Agile methods to improve the customer experience.  A tenacious customer centric approach is essential in the success of this role.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate current state assessment of transactional and manufacturing processes
  • Alignment of measurement systems, metrics and strategic goals with improvement activities and the customer experience
  • Identification of large and small improvement opportunities and facilitation of continuous improvement methodology to closure
  • Guide teams through proper project management structure and integrate agile methodology when possible
  • Help standardize training material, but deliver audience aligned messaging to employees on basic CI methodology and tools
  • Drive the scientific method and PDCA in improvement activities
  • Improve control / governance processes and visual controls
  • Work with change management team to ensure sustainability and desired cultural evolution
  • Assist in process and training documentation

Education and/or Experience          

  • 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement and process re-engineering
  • Project management experience, Scrum approach preferred
  • Experience in facilitation and coaching of cross functional teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of lean principles and the scientific method to problem solving.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Previous experience applying lean methodology to front office and other functions beyond Operations within an organizations including but not limited to: Product Management, Engineering, Finance, IT, etc.
  • A proven track record of delivering tangible cost savings and/or process improvements that create a better customer experience
  • Undergraduate degree required, science/engineering preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience with inferential analysis and modeling a plus
  • Survey experience and sentiment analysis a plus

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.              

Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficient with analytical software such as Tableau, Minitab, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Process diagraming software such as Lucidchart, Visio
  • Project and process management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet
  • Oracle Discoverer experience a plus
