As the Sr. Manager of Sales and Marketing applications, you will be responsible for the overall platform, application, team, technical architecture, design, and technical roadmap of the SalesForce platform, Oracle CPQ, Marketo and several other connected ecosystem applications which enable HID’s core business capabilities including CRM, service management and e-commerce management.  In this role, you will work with both SalesForce team members as well as other IT colleagues, and business colleagues to address new challenges, maximize value, and promote the use of the platform for key business objectives and capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the application and platform owner for applications in the sales and marketing area, applications to include SalesForce (Sales, Service, Commerce, Community, Marketing), Marketo, Oracle CPQ and other connected applications
  • Manage develop and mentor a team of full time employee engineers/developers/analysts located in the US and offshore locations
  • Manage daily application activities for projects and maintenance efforts
  • Guide the development of staff members, including setting objectives, coaching, delivering performance reviews, and advising management on compensation
  • Manage a team of contract resources working in the sales and marketing applications space
  • Establish, contribute to and adhere to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application controls
  • Provide oversight on development and delivery of all SalesForce ecosystem application solutions and enhancements
  • Ensure consistent application code integrity, confirm documentation of capabilities, participate in code reviews
  • Act as the SME, provide guidance, to IT Support, development and integration teams
  • Design, develop, unit test and deploy new business functionality and enhancements to the existing SalesForce platform, using commonly used SalesForce technologies
  • Enforce adherence to SalesForce best practices and methodologies
  • Maintain an understanding of the SalesForce ecosystem with the ability to lead new connect product evaluations
  • Provide guidance on how technology solutions could help solve business and technical problems, evolve existing business capabilities, and enable new business capabilities
  • Ensure a consistent and proper use of SalesForce functionality and technical specifications
  • Manage development prioritization lists, sprints and backlog
  • Work closely with business users and IT colleagues to provide SalesForce solutions to match business needs
  • Ensure technical documentation is created and updated
  • Provide project implementation oversight, support, including testing of new features, interfaces, and other system changes
  • Ensure adherence to internal service management, ITIL guidelines and internal SLAs

Qualifications

  • Experience with architecting, designing, building, and implementing SalesForce centric ecosystem solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Lightning framework
  • Experience in building relationships with people at a variety of levels
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver multiple concurrent IT project
  • Current SalesForce Developer and SalesForce Architect Certification preferred
  • Experience developing Lightning Components and deploying them in a Lightning environment
  • Proven experience with commonly used SalesForce development toolsets such as HTTP, Force.com platform, Visualforce, Apex etc. preferred
  • Experience in Lightning development for Sales, Service and Community Clouds using Process Builder, Triggers, Visualforce, etc.
  • Experience in supporting integration to other third party applications such as Oracle EBS, HR systems, data warehouse, ETL preferred
  • Experience leveraging SalesForce functionality and AppExchange apps
  • Experience in generating process maps for front-end related business processes
  • Ability to articulate to stakeholders the value of recommended approaches and solutions
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Experience with Agile Scrum delivery framework a plus
  • Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Outstanding analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the ITIL framwork

Education and/or Experience          

  • At least five years of experience managing an applications team, with demonstrated ability to recruit, manage and mentor US and offshore teams
  • At least five years of knowledge and experience working on SalesForce and SalesForce-centric connected ecosystem products in a multi-org, large global environment
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent work experience

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.              

Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
