This role is responsible for will include: coordinating direct materials for sku’s supplied globally from one central distribution center, master-data initial item set-up, transitioning items from global to regional fulfillment, supply, inventory, network capacity, and service level balancing and coordination. 

 

A high degree of alignment with Global Data owners and IT orientation will be essential to ensuring success in this role, as the candidate will need to leverage both existing subject matter expertise around the organization, as well as ad hoc problem solving in line with the business requirements.

 

What you will be doing

  • Works extensively with an MRP system, Oracle Cloud and other tools support planning processes. 
  • Coordinates most all activities related to the procurement of FG materials, beginning with intent to purchase through delivery to balance inventory, service levels, and capacity within the network.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels on assigned products based on forecast or actual demand requirements.
  • Maintains master data for assigned fields
  • Perform cost analysis as required to determine shipping mode (truck, ocean, air) and makes recommendations to support network objectives
  • Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute materials in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Communicating risks and concerns to allow for recovery planning, identifying OFI’s and implementing remedial actions as appropriate.
  • Support the department in establishing, reviewing documenting and implementing or updating processes as needed
  • Supports oracle cloud from a business and user supportability standpoint. Responsible for understanding, testing, communicating, and coaching team on best practices and functionality.
  • Responsible for quarterly update process and new feature adoption and training
  • Responsible for monthly forecast load
  • Troubleshoots process gaps and works to resolve with stakeholders in supply chain, IT, and regional fulfillment.
  • Maintains EDI connectivity with suppliers as required with IT support.
  • Proactively monitor leading indicators for potential disruptions to fulfillment operations and work to resolve in a timely manner.  Communicates and coordinates options for recovery.
  • Maintain KPIs
  • Utilize and further develop capacity models with production and suppliers to provide a method for making analytically based decisions.
  • Provide input to operations and order management on manufacturing lead-times and associated ATP settings, and other relevant data fields as required.
  • Work closely with project teams to understand company requirements and deliverables; report on material readiness to support production demand.

What we are looking for    

  • 7 years planning / purchasing experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Associate degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong familiarity with demand planning, purchasing, vendor management and sustainability requirements; working knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated decision making skills coupled with good judgement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud (Procurement & Planning modules).
  • Strong analytical skills, organization skills, ability to read and manipulate large volume of data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of company associates and suppliers.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
