The Systems Integration Functional Analyst is the procurement team’s subject matter expert and will provide support to both the regional and global supply teams.  This role provides support in resolving both functional and technical issues within all applications, but with a primary focus on integrated solutions between HID and its suppliers, and also provides input representing procurement for requested development activities across HID’s global supply chain.  The Systems Integration Functional Analyst enables the users to fully maximize systems capabilities to meet HID goals of improved automation and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for assigned systems and functions’ supporting the company’s Oracle ERP and other business applications and has an in-depth understanding of integration among multiple entities.

This position also represents the procurement organization and provides input as required to the governance council and assists in the evaluation and analysis of all project related requests.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Identify and assess work flow requirements to meet operational needs.
  • Using department standard work, analyze user operational requirements to develop functional reporting and operational improvements
  • Develop standard process framework for managing EDI and Oracle iSupplier integration activities
  • Implement, Train and Support Oracle iSupplier and EDI system enablement projects across multiple HID locations and suppliers.
  • Support and/or lead other system integration activities as identified
  • Develop and publish relevant performance metrics on an agreed upon frequency with management.
  • Manage Procurement team members' adherence of standard processes, maintenance of quality and performance to service levels and schedule.
  • Ensure data and data integrity methodologies and best practice models are achieved
  • Provide functional/technical support for application and business process issues.
  • Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities and collaborate with business owners and other IT analysts in order to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Identify system issues and other unique issues, escalate and resolve as appropriate - be responsible for systems problem management activities for the supply chain team.
    • Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings, and maintain appropriate meeting records.
    • Train end users or technical support staff to use and support program including documentation.
    • Other activities as required

Education and/or Experience         

  • B.S. or Advanced degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible technical experience and 5+ years of business analyst experience integrating applications related to Procurement or other Supply Chain management functions, across multiple platform solutions. 
  • Experience implementing EDI integration projects.
  • Proven experience in technical analysis of requirements.
  • Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Strong analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions.
  • Proficiency in architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, and programming languages.
  • Proven ability to design applications using the appropriate systems architecture, database structures, and communication and network technologies.
  • Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs, analyze all ramifications and implement complete solutions
  • Project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
  • Ability to remain focused on core processes despite outside influence
  • Follows established procedures and best practices.
  • Expert in interacting with team members and peers to anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues and competing project priorities
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and instruction, and takes initiative to learn new products/areas.
  • Highly Efficient in working with related project team members (Purchasing, Global Planning, Mfg, etc.) and colleagues to develop and implement continuous improvement solutions.
  • Effectively establishes relationships (where applicable) with Procurement, Accounts Payable, ,IT, Engineering, Customers, Quality, etc.

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to garner cross-functional support from multi-site, multi-geographic and multi-cultural information pool

Computer Skills     

  • Experience and proficiency in EDI integration solutions
  • Familiar with database, data warehouse and data integrity
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Oracle ERP R12 a plus
