The Position:

This role will lead a new hardware development programs for passport and identity card personalisation equipment. You will be managing the efficient and cost-effective product development of new products, processes and upgrades, with both internal and external providers. You will also provide technical support to product management, pre-sales, sales, commercial and delivery as appropriate.

The person in this role will need to maintain knowledge of competitor and supplier equipment offerings and customer projects. You will create and own functional requirements, test plans and procedures for hardware developments and customer projects.

 

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have graduate Qualification and apprenticeship in a technical engineering discipline or equivalent with understanding of technical project management. Having experience of managing and delivering multiple project developments/enhancements to specification, budget and time that achieve competitive advantage is desirable for this role.

You should have a technical and/or engineering background, with significant experience and practical knowledge in both Identity Personalisation Equipment and materials. Experience of managing suppliers and their resources for effective product development and issue resolution, as well as, experience in producing product support materials and of undertaking product demonstrations and briefings, is an advantage for this role.

You should have a proven ability to provide technical input to cross-functional teams and able to communicate complex technical concepts simply to non-technical colleagues and clients. You should also demonstrates good analytical skills and evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual and qualitative information.
