Summary

Working in a small versatile team in a comfortable working environment, the candidate's work will involve product design and sustaining activities on a range of RFID access products which are sold worldwide. The candidate needs to be able to effectively manage their time to support work on a variety of products at different stages of the product's lifecycle, and to be able to collaborate well with colleagues from different departments both onsite and overseas. Occasional travel may be required. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Design Skills; 

• Embedded Linux Development (Multi-media Co-Processors, High Speed DDR Interfacing)

• Power supply (low voltage DC-DC)

• Embedded microcontrollers (eg ARM, Microchip)

• Communication interfaces (eg I2C, SPI, UART, I2S, MIPI DSI)

• Low power operation • Signal conditioning 

Advantageous Experience:

• RFID • Ethernet (including PoE)

• Antenna design

• Wireless interfaces (eg BLE, WiFi)

• International Standards (eg ISO, UL)

• CAD Tools (eg Altium, SolidWorks)

• Simulation tools (eg CST Studio, LTSpice)

• Document control systems (eg Agile)

• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Collaboration tools (eg Confluence, Wiki) 
 
Education:

• Degree level in Engineering or related subject, 5 - 10 years’ experience in Electronic Development Engineering 
 
Language Skills                  

• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing

. • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.                      

Computer Skills    

• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

• Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.Language:

• Good level of spoken & written English
