Summary

EMEA Payroll Manager responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and effective delivery of company’s monthly and fortnightly payroll through 3rd party vendors in an outsourced arrangement. This position, located in Galway city and reporting to the Financial Shared Services Director, will focus on payroll delivery for twenty-six countries in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the end to end process necessary to deliver payroll through in-country service providers including
  • Ensure HR data is provided in a timely accurate manner to the various in-country service providers for the assigned countries
  • Review preliminary payroll calculations from Payroll Vendor and advise of changes, provision of final approval for each payroll
  • Ensure accurate, timely delivery of payroll funds into employee accounts as well as depositing income and social taxes, benefit plan obligations and other deductions as required
  • Ensure timely receipt and uploading of general ledger data as it pertains to payroll, assisting with the account reconciliations for Payroll related GL Accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all Internal Controls
  • Handle employee inquiries in a timely professional manner in liaison with in country service provider
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate supporting documentation
  • Keep current of regulatory changes impacting payroll services
  • Ensure compliance with country specific benefits
  • Vendor and stakeholder management - Establish effective working relationships with all parties involved in the process and manage to SLAs/terms that have been agreed
  • Process Improvement 
  • Participate in change management activities as necessary, including development and delivery of change communications
  • Advise on the effectiveness of payroll service and recommend changes to processes or contractual obligations
  • Be a key lead on any payroll projects and implementations
  • Reporting - Compile/maintain metrics, participate in selected industry benchmarking initiatives

 

Education and Experience             

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in business, finance or closely related discipline
  • Payroll experience in a multinational environment is essential
  • Proven knowledge of payroll-related tax/legislative process in a number of European countries
  • Knowledge of Payroll/HR business practices
  • Have a track record in process improvement
  • Team oriented and able to establish strong effective working relationships

 

Language Skills                   

  • Fluency in English required – additional European languages an advantage

 

Computer Skills     

  • Experience with ADP products – HRB, Streamline, ADP Reporting.is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Oracle desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Strong Excel (V Look Ups/Pivot Tables)

Work Environment

  • Employee works primarily in an office environment, within a well ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.

 

Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
