About the Position

The Manufacturing Engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to focus on machine design and improving the productivity and the efficiency of HID production lines. You will work in close cooperation with our Operations and R&D teams to proactively implement industrial equipment & solutions and will deal with internal customers who expect the highest service level.

 

Job Details

  • Projects consist of custom machine design, existing machine modification and high level trouble shooting.
  • Handle machine controls design, PLC and HMI programming, and development/validation documentation for new and existing equipment.
  • Example machines include: credentials provisioning equipment, test equipment, sub-parts assembly & lamination, material preparation or antenna winding & bonding activities in front-end factories.
  • This position requires 10 to 15% travel, particularly to Europe and Asia.
 
Your Profile
  • Strong PLC programming experience in designing and implementing custom solutions.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and experience in a global and multi-cultural environment.
  • Capable of taking initiative and working autonomously. Should be proactive, flexible, and precise.
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
 
Your Qualifications/Education
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
  • Experience & Strong knowledge in:
    • Automated machines
    • Machine programming (PLC)
    • Human Machine Interface design (HMI)
    • Motorized axes / Communication protocols
    • Hardware parts definition (Such as Motors, axis, drivers, sensors, etc.).
    • CE standards and Machine Safety standards
    • CAD for electrical schematics (a plus)
  • Hands on experience in development and maintenance of industrial PLCs: Beckhoff and other brands such as Allen Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi
  • Experience programming C# or C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Knowledge in industrial vision (a plus)
