Senior Software and Test Engineer (HID-572)

 

HID Global is growing in Krakow (Zabierzów), and we are currently looking for Senior Software and Test Engineer in our Physical Access Control System Team to be part of our successful journey.

The candidate will be part of EasyLobby software team working in Scrum methodology delivering solution for visitor registration, monitoring, reporting, badge printing and management of assets.

This position is for a team player and will be part of a larger Test Engineering team which verify products from concept through production.

The candidate will be tasked with designing and implementing new tools and frameworks for the testing and validation for the HID solutions.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Execute test plans and document the results of testing campaigns (JIRA/Test Rail)
  • Execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated). Verify the Solutions security, robustness and performance. Share tests results in a timely manner.
  • Participates in general laboratory and test / development duties as required. 
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, establish documentation, metrics, apply industry best practices, and develop new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Design, develop and maintain test methodologies, test frameworks, and test tools to validate existing and future product functionality (Selenium and TestStack.White frameworks in C#) 
  • In accordance with Management and Technical Support team, triage and prioritize all issues and follow thru on their remediation.
  • Track & follow up all bugs and identified improvements with tools such as JIRA, Helix (Test Track), TestRail, Confluence.
  • Work closely with the project teams to ensure that all requirements, SW test code, and documentation are complete and validated. Assess Solutions quality and ensure that all major bugs are remediated before the tools are released to their consumers.
  • Participate in Continuous Integration process (Jenkins usage and maintanance)

​             Desired skills & Experience:         

  • 3+ years of experience working with SW QA process execution in full SDLC.
  • Minimum BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
  • Should have good experience on test frameworks such as Selenium / Stack.White
  • Should have knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Integration Testing. 
  • Object-oriented programming knowledge (C#)
  • Ability to complete design related tasks with minimal supervision 
  • Database skills a plus
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development a plus 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
