The Director of Product Marketing reports directly to the Global Segment VP for the Workforce Identity Management Business Unit and manages a small international team.

The role is to create demand for the Workforce Identity Management product portfolio, through effective messaging and marketing programs, thereby shortening sales cycles and increasing revenue.

It requires close collaboration with Product Management to prioritize and launch new product releases, and with Marketing Communications to scope and execute on campaigns to target identified market segments. 

 

What you will be doing

  • Monitor market and competitor activity
  • Analyze sales data and market research; identify market segments and value propositions for each of the product offerings
  • Collaborate with Product Management to guide and prioritize roadmap, based on market demands
  • Launch new products and major releases: produce content that clearly articulates a compelling value proposition; educate internal stakeholders, such as Sales teams and external stakeholders such as influential analysts.
  • Scope and prioritize digital marketing campaigns: create consistent messaging, positioning statements, and the associated proof points, for use by marketing to generate public-facing marketing collateral on website and other media
  • Represent the business at all times and with any audience to explain the customer-led benefits of the product line


What we are looking for    

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in Marketing or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Marketing role in the Enterprise Software market. Experience with SaaS and/or security is preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems such Salesforce.com
  • Experience with content management systems, such as Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Experience leading a remote team
  • Ability to communication with various levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated success in positioning and launching differentiated products that meet and exceed business objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some copywriting skills
  • Subject matter expertise in the particular product or market. This should include specific industry or technical knowledge
  • Deep understanding of how a product is sold and the channels they are sold into
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with sales, marketing and product management is especially important
