This position will support the HID’s Identity Access Management’s (IAM) Business Unit’s portfolio, with an emphasis on the Identity and Access Management authentication solutions, formerly branded under ActivIdentity, Crossmatch, Quantum Secure corporate names.  Thousands of enterprises, healthcare, education, online banking and government organizations across the globe rely on HIDs authentication and credential management solutions to meet their security and compliance requirements today.

 

In support of our strategy, we are currently seeking a US Federal Government Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies to drive sales forecast and achieve sales objectives.  This role will have a Government sector emphasis specifically focused on the US Government Civilian Agency and Defense markets

 

The Federal Government sales role includes responsibility for all aspects of new customer acquisition, growth, building a sales funnel of medium and large prospective customers, as well as expansion within existing accounts. Design initiatives to develop and execute strategies and tactics in the following key areas: vertical market planning, prospecting, relationship development, managing sales cycles, pricing, presentation and delivery, negotiations, and closing. As an individual contributor you will understand the challenges that both prospects and customers are faced with and address those using HID IAM solutions for positive business outcomes. This role will include the ability to foster strong relationships with prospects, customers and key stakeholders (internal and external), while maintaining a solid knowledge of HID’s evolving portfolio and competitive differentiators.

The ideal candidate should have experience working on a remote team and with colleagues, partners and customers throughout North America.  The candidate should be a self-motivated individual capable of interfacing with numerous internal cross functional groups such as Leadership, Customer Service, Pre-Sales, and Professional Services.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 

  • Strong sales skills with proven experience of past success meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to develop and execute a vertical sales strategy and organize daily work schedule independently.
  • “Hunter” sales mentality.
  • Strong cold calling and prospecting skills to establish new accounts which maintaining established book of business
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships , maintains and grow relationships with existing accounts
  • Demonstrates exceptional follow-through, personal drive and the desire to make a difference
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and accelerates customer adoption
  • Ability to understand requirements, and present the appropriate solution to meet and exceed the requirements and expectations
  • Presents key selling points, features, and benefits while focusing on the customer's needs and expectations
  • Maintains a track record of sales growth (even during slow times)
  • Uses a consultative sales approach
  • Maintains company values and demands the highest standards of conduct from self and others
  • Listens attentively and responds effectively to customer concerns
  • Negotiates or mediates discussions competently
  • Demonstrates ability to close sales and overcome customer's objections
  • Well versed in product positioning, pricing, and execution on identified government market opportunities
  • 5+ years Federal Sales experience specific to FICAM intitiative (Software Sales)
  • Channel model sales experience, preferred
  • Provide regular field feedback to the product marketing, product management and marketing communications teams
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and providing recommendations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Education and/or Experience

           

  • BS/BA College degree preferred
  • 7 years of Technology/Software Sales and a proven track record of success
  • 5 years of successful team leadership/management
  • Experience selling to C level prospects in medium to large, SLED, FED, Defense and Aerospace
  • Understanding of multifactor authentication
  • Understanding of cryptography
  • Understanding of PKI environments
