The position offered here, as account manager for the Extended Access Technologies (EAT) North American team, takes advantage of the tremendous brand equity and majority market share enjoyed by HID Global in North America for Physical Access.

The value proposition to potential OEM customers: How would you like to embed HID IP in your product and join the existing HID Ecosystem? The HID employee credential is the key to success in this endeavor. One credential, many use cases beyond opening doors: Secure Print, Point of Sale, Time and Attendance, Elevators, Turnstiles, Vehicle Access, Electric Vehicle Charging, Hand Held Terminals to name a few! 

This Account Manager position with the Extended Access Technologies (EAT) business area will support HID EAT sales efforts in the assigned geographic area with OEM companies looking to add the HID identity and access technology for both card and mobile access credentials to their product. This is accomplished via designs done with HID OEM Modules/Finished Readers, HID Integrated Circuits and licensed HID IP.   

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Identifying, qualifying and targeting potential OEM’s, developers and licensees.
  • Develop and execute a territory/assigned account strategic sales plan using an approved vertical market strategy.
  • Manage account relationships, business, technical and operations issues on a regular basis.
  • Champion the needs/requirements of OEM partners within the HID Global organization.
  • Collaborate with other HID Business Areas to make sure the customer HID-compatible products are known to other groups within HID Global.
  • Prepare and deliver customer facing and HID internal presentations as required.
  • Provide relevant competitive information to HID EAT product marketing.
  • Manage the sales interface with HID operations, quality, supply chain, marketing, engineering and application engineering teams as required for success with OEM customers. 
  • Provide account activity reports, forecast and opportunity pipeline updates.  

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience          

  • B.S. or B.A. degree, preferably in a business or technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical and/or sales position with a proven track record in achieving revenue quotas, technical/strategic growth goals or assigned personal objectives.
  • Experience selling or managing technical products. A focus on embedded products is a plus.

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to evaluate and strategize based on important business or market trends.
  • Create and give presentations that conform to the prescribed business template and format.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate margins, percentages, ratios, mark-ups, discounts, etc.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills     

  • Experience with SalesForce.com
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

  • The work environment will be split between a home office and on site at customer locations.
  • The home office must be a well-defined work area, separate from normal domestic activity and complete with all essential technology including, but not limited to; separate phone, scanner, printer, computer, etc. as required in order to effectively perform their duties.

Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Up to 50% travel and fieldwork, Employee must be able to travel by automobile, train, airplane, etc. as needed. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle appropriate for field sales.
  • International travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
