The Sales Director for RTLS will drive global sales efforts within HID’s IoT Services business unit for Real Time Location Services (RTLS). Success lies in your ability to educate the prospect on our capabilities, identify and understand the business needs, articulate value, qualify the opportunity and move it through the sales pipeline.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Grow a pipeline of new business while developing new opportunities in current accounts.
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers and prospects at different levels within the organization, understanding their specific pain points and requirements, while also identifying any organizational and political roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with leadership on developing strategic plans to grow new accounts and verticals.
  • Collaborate with leadership, product management, partners, and marketing.
  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline and close business against defined quota.
  • Support marketing efforts and speaking engagements at trade shows and industry events
  • Work with the appropriate internal stakeholders and channel providers to define the winning Channel strategy for HID Solutions. 



  • 10+ years of experience selling disruptive SaaS solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers. Experience selling RTLS solutions is preferred.
  • Track record of long-lasting customer relationships that have expanded business.
  • Strategic mindset with a successful track record of developing account strategies.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships with executive, operational and IT personnel throughout organizations.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach toward products, markets, and clients' business challenges.
  • Focused on building solid and trusted relationships with customers.
  • Complex sales methodology training preferred.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in Location Services market

Education and/or Experience   

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University. Candidates with equivalent education plus relevant job experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in market-based sales role which achieved or exceeded business growth targets is required 
  • Experience working in a technology industry with an aptitude for understanding technical product details and specifications 
  • Experience developing Strategic Alliance programs and/or have experience managing market-based Strategic Alliances with key strategic partners preferred 


Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Experience with CRM systems such
