The Position:

The Production Manager will contribute to exceptional levels of Customer Satisfaction and improved Operational Efficiency by fostering a safety and quality conscious, standards based, performance driven culture within the Production Department of HID Global, Shannon.

This role will be a member of the Regional Leadership Team and will oversee a team of Production Leads, Operatives, and a Manufacturing / Process Engineer. 

The Production Department’s contributions are critical to the success of the, PACS (access control card and reader configuration), Secure Issuance (printer configuration, repair, and transformation of associated consumables) and EAT (embedded and logical access reader configuration) business within HID Global. 

You will collaborate with global peers and Manufacturing Engineering to establish standard work with measurable hourly and daily output requirements

Systems based thinking and excellent analytical skills are required. The ideal candidate will possess an innate sense of collaboration and interpersonal abilities.

You should have the ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute to the effectiveness of the organization. As well as a drive for results through timely decision making and the ability to prioritize, plan and measure work.

Knowledge of Order to Delivery functionality within Oracle ERP (or similar) is required

Candidates should have varying levels of experience with:

  • Materials Resource Planning and Capacity Resource Planning
  • Lean Principles: 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Theory of Constraints, Kaizen, etc.
  • Production Scheduling, Capacity Modeling, Job Sequencing
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Inventory Management, Inventory Control and Material Handling

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (Industrial or Manufacturing preferred)
  • 8+ years working in and / or supporting a high-tech Production environment as well as 3+ years managing people (either direct supervisory or project management)
  • Experience operating within a Matrix organizational structure
  • Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Project Management Certification and / or experience is preferred
  • Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
