Summary

We are looking for a Risk Manager to support our business development in China.

The Risk Manager aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage the HID Global business, financial and operational risks (including reputational risk) in support of HID Global strategic plans. Risk Manager develops comprehensive processes to monitor, assess, and manage the risk of expected and unexpected events that may have an adverse impact on HID Global. The Risk Manager play a critical function for the firm, driving how the firm takes and manages risk. The Risk professionals execute critical day-to-day risk management activities, lead projects, and contribute to the ongoing advancement of a robust risk management program. Effective coordination with executive management, business units, control departments and technology are critical for success

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization.
  • Performing risk assessments, as well as reviewing all existing internal control procedures.
  • Analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
  • Performing risk evaluations: Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements
  • Preparing risk management and insurance budgets
  • Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks)
  • Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders
  • Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
  • Overseeing policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals
  • Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company

Qualifications

  • Proactive with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships remotely.
  • Ability to work independently, form own judgment/opinions, provide insights and drive change.
  • Ability to interact with and build relationships with people from different departments and levels of seniority Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; networking outside and inside the organization and building positive relationships with key individuals and groups.
  • Strategic thinker able to absorb complex business issues and draw the right business recommendations whilst ensuring alignment to corporate objectives.
  • Displays good judgement by being able to diplomatically deal with complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Always act ethically, maintaining the highest personal and professional integrity.
  • Interest in Access Control & Security markets is a plus.

Education and/or Experience          

Hold a BA or MA in the fields of in Risk Management, Business Management, Finance, Law. Master's degree preferred.

Ideally 10+ years of Risk Management experience.

Experience in working for European or American entities.

Language Skills                   

Strong verbal (native level Mandarin required) and written communication skills in Chinese and English.

Computer Skills     

Proficient in MS Office applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Work Requirements

Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.

Extensive travel and fieldwork both domestically and internationally. Therefore, the candidate must possess, or be able to acquire the required travel documents and visas for North Asia, Europe, and the USA.
