The Physical Access Control (PACS) segment portfolio protects organizations with access control solution ranging from card and readers to network access module, mobile based solution and cloud hosted portal services. 

PEAKE was founded in 1997, and it has been providing high-quality, complete, security solutions for the Chinese market. It also has been recognized as one of the top ten domestic security and access control brands for many years.  In 2014, PEAKE joined HID Global PACS' family and continues to focus on serving customers in China. And with more than a decade of deep diving of local market, PEAKE’s security solutions expand from access control system hardware (RFID readers /controllers) to different intelligent systems, including POS, car parking, visitor management, Time and attendance management systems.  And it is widely accepted by domestic customers and organizations. .  
The Pre-sales group is focused on providing technical expertise to support sales account managers, inside sales and channel partners in closing deals with current and prospective Customers.  

This involves management of technical relationships, regular conference calls, meetings and presentations accordingly, as well provide technical input for tenders, market intelligence and contributing to internal technical discussions, external events and speaking forums. There is also a significant element charged with providing technical leadership, market intelligence and strategic direction to our internal and external facing activities. 

Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering, the Pre-Sales consultant possesses extensive experience in advising customers throughout their Access Control / Security Solutions. The role covers the whole territory of China hence extensive travel will be required.

All Pre-Sales consultants are trained on physical access control product technology as well as third party technology where required. The Pre-Sales department is tightly integrated with the product roadmap definition procedure and collaborates closely with other technology parties to aid in achieving their customer’s goals. 


The Pre-Sales department provides customers with services such as: 

•    Product presentations
•    Product demonstrations in virtual and portable environments
•    Technical tender responses and other documentation
•    Technology assessments and advice
•    Discovery Workshops and Proof of Concept Deployments


What we are looking for:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sales Support

•    Be available and ready to support sales account managers, inside sales and partners closing deals with current and prospective Customers, organize regular conference calls and meetings accordingly
•    Resolve presales technical issues from partners and strategic end-users via telephone and the global case management system (Salesforce)
•    Adhere to case management policy at all times;
•    Escalate cases to engineering, production and product management regarding product problems, enhancements, customer requirements using the global issue management tracking system;
•    Create solution concepts and architectures based on the customer requirements and business processes that prove business value and help achieve the prospective customers’ business goals
•    Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.

Knowledge Transfer / Technical capabilities

•    Participate in partner events and produce adequate material from input from Product marketing and Product management, presenting the benefits of products to Customers
•    Technical capabilities for hands-on product demonstrations and SDK collaboration and development skills.
•    Provides coaching and professional development to team member, sales associates, partner’s technical contacts in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
•    Organize demos and POC to properly represent the company during seminars, conferences and tradeshows

Tender support

•    Handle the technical aspects of request for proposals in relation with Product Marketing and Product Management
•    Be the interface with Customer Service, among other things, participate in Customer Service and support meetings
•    Organize internal and external trainings for partners and end users

Field Marketing

•    Collect market feedback with regards to product requirements and market information  & competitive news from the field, and report to Product Marketing / Solution Marketing team in an argued and fruitful manner
•    Collect input of other vendor solutions/offerings for competitive analysis
•    Ensure adequate reporting of these activities
•    Support regional demand to complete product certification process

Partner Support

•    Resolve relevant customer tech support issues for the relevant product line using the global case management system (SalesForce/MS Task Board)
•    Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions.
•    Adhere to case management policy at all times

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

•    BEng or BSc in electronics or a similar technical major
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a first line technical or applications support role.
•    Physical access control systems experience is highly desirable.
•    Experience of Low Voltage Systems (CCTV, Access control, Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, Public address, IP Intercom system, Car Parking solutions)

•    Experience with typical embedded control peripherals (ie. RAM, Flash, UART, PWM, A/D, I2C, and SPI)
•    Expertise in integration with third party Building Sub-Systems.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Strong Business analysis skills

Language Skills   

•    Ability to effectively communicate in Chinese and prefer can speak and write English

•    Essential IT skills: Microsoft OS, Office 365 software (including Access & Visio), SQL language
