The Position: What you will be doing: Summary of job

HID Global is seeking an experienced, self-motivated QA Engineer who will be responsible for the system test of our biometric fingerprint solution for the Windows, Linux, Android and iOS environments along with biometric device driver / firmware and robotic testing. 

What we are looking for:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform testing of the products, test/resolve customer reported issues related to the products, report bugs, maintain the bug database as well as write and execute test plans and test cases.
  • Perform black box testing and automation testing.
  • Setup and maintain the testing environment in the lab, including Windows, Linux, Android and iOS
  • Validate and troubleshoot issues, provide information to the development team and assist in the resolution.
  • Regression testing and final tuning prior to release.
  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and processes to plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • BSCS or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 3+ years of QA experience with the MS Windows, Linux, Android and iOS environments
  • Experiencing in CI/CD and automation testing flow & tools, such as Robot Framework, TestRail, Jira
  • Must bring strong experience implementing a formal QA infrastructure (procedures, processes, documentation) that assures the delivery of high-quality products on time, within budget and according to specifications. 
  • Strong planning skills and ability to write accurate and detailed test cases and test plans.
  • Must be able to work autonomously on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Must work well under pressure in a multi-tasking environment with rapid development life cycles. 
  • Attention to detail is a must. 

Highly desirable

  • Hands on knowledge of Programming Languages or Scripting Languages

Language Skills

  • Strong communication skills, including a good command of English.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong experience with Android OS and ADB developer tools
  • Experience with Android Studio
  • Familiarity of Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with Xcode for iOS development
