What you will be doing

PTI Security is a high value and successful product brand in the Self-Storage Industry and we are looking for the next Leader whose primary mission is to accelerate the profitable growth plan in the home market of North America as well will with the broader organization to find international expansion. You will achieve this through the inspirational leadership of your team to leverage and position our technology and product platform to sell relevant security solutions for your market segments. PTI Security has its own Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Tech Support, Sales Teams and supporting functions so really is a unique opportunity to have end to end responsibility and full P&L ownership. Reporting to the newly appointed VP Security Solutions this is another key role in the team that will strengthen our position in the Security Solutions Market.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the access control industry or self-storage industry, gained working in the North American market. A key success criteria is having a collaborative mindset and proven commercial acumen. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead, communicate and implement the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction to the Organization. Additional focus will be to work with functional colleagues on the Sales strategy and go to market approach in the region.
  • Work with the various stakeholders to implement the growth plans and platform thinking approach throughout the Security Solutions business.
  • Commercially astute you will understand the external and internal competitive landscape, create opportunities for market and portfolio expansion, work with customers, markets, new industry developments and standards. This includes; engaging in high-level negotiations to generate lucrative contracts or build beneficial relationships with partners and individuals.
  • Represents Company in professional association responsibilities and activities in local/industry functions and events.
  • As the MD for PTI Security you will represent the Business and be able to discuss and report on all aspects of the Business whether; financials, operational KPI’s, Sales forecasting, etc
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with key constituencies in industry, government and academia to enhance the Companies knowledge and accelerate development efforts.
  • Act as a market ambassador for the Company, to build awareness both internally and externally through industry brand-building activities such as conference opportunities, written articles and interviews etc.

  • Have the ability and experience to lead a multi-disciplined team
  • Have worked and conducted Business in North America.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally


Education and/or Experience:

  • Hold a BA or BS in related field.
  • At least 10+ years related experience and or training; including management experience.
  • Understanding of market and competitive environment including deal activity and potential opportunities.
  • Excellent people and management skills to lead and interact within team as well as cross functional teams and third parties.


Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Must have ability to write articles, conduct presentation, etc. and be able to present them before groups of individuals.


Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with current operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Knowledge of WebEx or other web-based video communications software beneficial.
