HID’s extended use case credentials, including ActivID™ one-time password (OTP) tokens and Crescendo® smart cards, provide robust multi-factor authentication. OTP tokens generate unique, time-sensitive passwords for secure access to cloud applications, while Crescendo smart cards support protocols like PKI, FIDO and OATH for both logical and physical access. By combining something the user has (the token or card) with something they know (a PIN), these credentials significantly enhance security and make unauthorized access much more difficult.
