David Gentry

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

David Gentry joined HID in 2018 to lead the North America HR Operations team. In 2019, his role expanded to provide leadership and set direction for the Global HR operations organization. His time leading the HR operations team, which supported all business areas and functions across 80+ sites in 28+ countries, gave him a global perspective on the operations of the business. In 2021, David was promoted to Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources. He leads a strong HR team to help guide and deliver impactful results, while creating a culture of success for our employees. David holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University. His professional background includes over 15 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources, much of which has been global in nature, including living and working in Beijing, China, for a large semiconductor company in the mobile industry.
