Senior Vice President and Head of Extended Access Technologies

Steve Currie joined HID in 2015 as Vice President of Sales for Embedded Solutions as part of the Physical Access Control Solutions business. In 2017, he started leading the Extended Access Technologies (EAT) business area as Senior Vice President and Head of EAT. Prior to joining HID, he held senior management roles at SONY, Ingenico, and Morpho (SAFRAN) in Germany, Singapore, China, and Japan. He has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and German from University of Strathclyde, UK, and has completed executive programs at INSEAD and IMD. His professional background includes over 20 years in mobile semiconductors, telecommunications, smart cards, payment transaction processing, embedded RFID technologies and biometrics.
