The new 3138 Bluetooth® RAIN® UHF Reader boasts TSL’s latest hardware innovations and performance improvements, in a more efficient reader with a longer battery life and the market’s most advanced security features compared to its successful predecessor, the TSL 2128/2128P series.
With the new Power Handle, battery capacity is significantly increased, and in combination with more efficient hardware, the new design ensures longer running times than ever before.
In addition to standard RFID functions, the TSL 3138 reader supports multiple tag operations during inventory scans, allowing users to read various areas of each tag, as well as write to or lock the tag as needed.
The reader supports passive sensor transponders (temperature, strain, humidity, acceleration) from HID and other manufacturers, with TSL Sensor Tag Explorer app provided to showcase these capabilities.
The integrated OMNIKEY Secure Element enables cryptographic authentication and secure communication of reader operations.
The ePop-Loq® connector optionally allows mounting a wide range of host devices, with simultaneous charging of both devices. The Operating System platform and other device functionality can be freely chosen for the intended use case and the host device can be upgraded independently of the reader.
Designed to read and write to EPC Class 1 Gen 2 v2 (ISO18000-6C) tags, the reader can also be configured with advanced 2D optical barcode scanning features, providing unparalleled data collection capabilities for any host device.
