Data privacy is important to HID Global Corporation, an ASSA ABLOY group company, and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“HID Global” or “we” or “us”). HID recognizes the importance of safeguarding personal data that can be used to personally identify or contact an individual person ("Personal Data"), and we want you to feel confident about the privacy of Personal Data when you provide us with Personal Data.
This Statement applies solely to information collected by HID Global: (i)on our FARGO Connect website through which we offer personalization services ("Site(s)") and (ii) otherwise through the course of FARGO Connect facilitating personalization services on behalf of Clients (the "Services"). This Statement does not apply to Personal Data processed outside of HID Global's FARGO Connect platform. "Client(s)" means third parties that purchase the Services from HID Global or an authorized HID Global reseller. "Constituent(s)" means the individuals whose Personal Data may be provided to us by the Client (for example, a Client employer may disclose certain information of its Constituents employees' information to us for purposes of obtaining Services from us). The use of information collected through the Services shall be limited to the purpose of providing the Services for which the Client has engaged HID Global.
Personal Data We Collect
HID Global collects, processes, and retains information about you when you visit our websites, which may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exist pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g. HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site. We will collect Personal Data as set forth in this Statement below:
- If an individual completes a "contact us" form on the Site, we will collect the individual's name, company name, title, address, email, phone number and any other Personal Data that the individual chooses to provide to us.
- HID Global will collect the following Personal Data that a Client provides to us as part of the Services customer application process: Client contact name, company name, company address, email, phone number password.
- HID Global may also collect Personal Data of a Client's Constituents based on the information that a Client provides to us for publication on a credential and additional add-on services, including, without limitation:
- photo, first and last name, address, email and credential identification number, credential version, credential expiration, photo expiration date, division, department, access rights such as buildings for access and name of superior;
You have choices about the data we collect. When you are asked to provide Personal Data, you may decline. But if you choose not to provide data that is necessary to provide a product or feature, you may not be able to use that product or feature.
How We Use Personal Data
HID Global will use Personal Data in the performance of a contract with our Clients, namely to respond to Clients' or Constituents' requests and inquiries, assist Clients with password retrieval, perform the Services and provide personalized credentials for Constituents on behalf of Clients.
Reasons We Share Personal Data
HID Global will share your Personal Data among ASSA ABLOY controlled affiliates and subsidiaries. We also share Personal Data with vendors or agents working on our behalf. In such cases, these companies must abide by our data privacy and security requirements and agree to any data protection agreements as we may require. HID Global does not sell your Personal Data to third parties. However, we may share your business contact information with our channel partners in order to assist you in purchasing our products.
Disclosure Required by Law
HID Global may cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying users who use the Site or Services for illegal activities. Therefore, we will respond to subpoenas, warrants, or other court orders regarding information concerning any user. HID Global will, at our discretion, disclose information, including Personal Data, if we reasonably believes that HID Global is required to do so by law, that such disclosure is necessary to protect us from legal liability, or that we should do so to protect the integrity of the Site or the Service.
How to Access & Control Your Personal Data
Upon request, HID Global will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your Personal Data. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our products and services. Additionally, we will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by HID Global and our partners, affiliates. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. Many HID Global products are intended for use by organizations and are administered to you by your organization. Your use of HID Global products may be subject to your organization's policies, if any. If your organization is administering your use of HID Global’s products, please direct your privacy inquiries to your administrator. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of our customers, which may differ from those set forth in this Privacy Statement.
Data Security
Wherever Personal Data is within HID Global or on its behalf, we will take reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. HID Global trains employees on its Information Security Policies and guidelines and makes them available to its business partners. In addition, HID Global and its business partners enter into confidentiality agreements that require that: (i) care and precautions be taken to prevent loss, misuse, or disclosure of Personal Data and (ii) any service provider’s only use Personal Data to perform services on behalf of HID Global.
In addition, HID Global takes precautions to protect Personal Data on the Site: we use industry-standard security measures, such as firewalls and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that are reasonably designed to safeguard the confidentiality of Personal Data. HID Global also periodically conducts security reviews and assessments both internally and via third party independent professionals. We store user information on secured servers and only provides access to certain authorized personnel.

Statement Changes
This Privacy Statement may be updated from time to time as HID Global's services change and expand. We suggest you review the Privacy Statement periodically. In the event of a material change, we will post a change notice on our website and may notify individuals of such changes through contact information that we have for such individuals prior to the change becoming effective. If we amend the Privacy Statement, the new statement will apply to Personal Data previously collected by HID Global only insofar as the rights of the individual affected are not reduced.
